Craftsmanship

The Mosaic Razor is built using segmentation — a traditional woodworking technique in which individual pieces of rosewood are cut, arranged, and fused together before being turned on a lathe. The process takes three full days. The result is a handle with a geometric surface pattern that no solid-turned razor can produce.

The rosewood is FSC-certified and sourced from sustainable tree farms. After assembly and turning, each handle is shaped, sanded, and finished by hand. Our Cirolex® coating seals the wood against daily moisture while preserving the grain and feel of the handle.

This is the most labor-intensive razor we make. It is designed to feel solid in the hand, age well, and stay in use for years.

FAQ

Will this work with my current blades?

Yes. The Mosaic Razor is available for Gillette Fusion, Mach3, Venus, and standard Double Edge safety blades. Select your blade format before adding it to cart.

What is segmentation?

A woodworking technique in which individual pieces of wood are cut, arranged by grain direction, and fused together before turning. It produces a geometric surface pattern that solid-turned handles cannot replicate.

Why does it take three days?

The segmentation, gluing, curing, turning, sanding, and finishing are each separate stages. Each must be completed and set before the next begins.

Is this a good gift?

Yes. It includes a gift box and one blade, so it arrives ready to use or give.

Where is it made?

Each Mosaic Razor is hand-built in North Carolina, USA.
